Food addictions is one of the easiest things to slip into
It starts subtle from just one of the those daily things you eat to becoming full blown addictions

For example
It starts with just an addiction to bread; so daily you eat bread and it looks harmless. Now you can’t go 2 days without bread, now it graduates into full junk eating so much that that you don’t care anymore it’s damage on your body but you just keep eating

it looks harmless but I will tell you that you are on the high way to health problems

It is abnormal to say you will feel sick if you don’t drink garri in two days…. It sounds harmless but is is abnormal

Once it turns into a daily habit and it feels like there is a dependence on it, that’s an addiction there

And walking out of food addiction must be systematic. “No garri challenge, no soda challenge, no rice challenge, no bread challenge won’t cut it” because after challenging the challenge, you may slip back into that same addiction and it will be worse

You have to develop systems to walk out of food addictions and this includes:

  1. Setting alternatives- so instead of no soda challenge, take freshly blended fruit smoothies, increase your water intake, there are healthier drink alternatives like Zobo, yogurt etc

  3. It takes time, effort and consistency to break free from food addictions. It is not something you just walk out of in a 7 days no soda challenge
  4. Lastly, fix your dietary habits. Food addictions sometimes sterm from “not eating enough of “ “a lack of” “less of”. It is always the case of you not eating balanced diet to actually depend one kind of food.
